Avenue Residence: Murphy bed and multifunctional room
Filled with natural light and open to a soft, calming environment, this space was designed as an adaptable room that can evolve throughout the day. At first glance, it feels like a warm and inviting playroom, where everything appears simple, well placed, and easy to live in.
The project responds to a clear need: to create a space that accommodates both everyday living and the unexpected. A playroom by day and a guest bedroom when needed. The layout was designed to allow this transition to happen naturally, without compromising the visual balance of the room.
Designed to adapt to everyday living, this layout transforms a simple room into a versatile space that is discreet, warm, and intuitive.
Built directly into the wall, the queen Murphy bed blends seamlessly into the architecture when closed. Its lacquered front, composed of vertical slats that add texture, integrates softly into the space and gives the impression of a clean, continuous wall.
When opened, the bed reveals a cozy sleeping area, finished in a wood texture that adds warmth and contrast. Integrated lighting enhances this soft atmosphere, instantly transforming the room into a welcoming and relaxing space.
Everything was designed to make the bed easy to use, allowing for a smooth and natural transition between functions. In just a few steps, the space shifts from an open, uncluttered area to a comfortable guest room, ready to welcome visitors.
