Millette Residence: a flexible, bright and calming space
Very bright thanks to full-height windows, this room stands out for its soft and refined atmosphere. Behind an elegant black-framed glass partition, the space opens up with lightness. This partition separate the areas without ever fully closing them off, maintaining a strong sense of openness and flow.
In this Millette Residence project, the goal was clear: to design a multifunctional space that adapts to everyday life, transitioning smoothly from work to rest while maintaining a cohesive and calming aesthetic.

At the heart of the project is a custom wall unit, designed as a true architectural feature. The overall layout is thoughtfully planned so everything flows naturally and feels balanced.
The lacquered fronts, clean and uniform, give the furniture a strong yet refined presence, while the melamine sections add a warm touch to the overall composition. The integrated, discreet handles blend seamlessly into the design. Everything remains simple, clean, and pleasant to look at.
Positioned along the window, the desk fits naturally into the continuity of the unit. It benefits from soft, natural light—ideal for working or reading. The light wood finish of the desktop brings balance to the surrounding matte surfaces. This combination of textures creates a warm atmosphere without weighing down the space.
Open sections are simply integrated into the overall layout. They provide space to display a few selected objects, plants, or books, adding life while keeping the space light and uncluttered.
Behind the fronts, a queen-size Murphy bed is perfectly integrated into the unit. When closed, nothing reveals its presence—the overall look remains clean and uniform. Then, with a simple and smooth movement, the room transforms: the bed unfolds to reveal a comfortable and welcoming sleeping area.
The wood-effect backing adds warmth and depth to the bed. This balance between minimalism and comfort defines the identity of the project, creating a space that feels both calm and inviting from the moment you enter.
Every detail was designed to simplify use and maximize comfort. The Murphy bed mechanism allows for a quick and effortless transition, while maintaining a consistent and harmonious look, no matter how the space is used.
